Robert Oscar Hargrave was born January 19, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio to Robert and Thelma Hargrave.
He was baptized at an early age at Wayman Chapel A.M.E. church in Dayton, Ohio. Later in life he was a faithful member of Family Christian Center located in Munster, Indiana.
Robert joined the armed forces at an early age and returned home as a World War II Veteran. He later was employed at a textile factory in Chicago, Illinois.
Robert was employed and retired from the Chicago Transit Authority holding the position as Supervisor over the fleet of buses at the 79th and Vincennes Street garage.
Robert was called home on February 3, 2016 at Franciscan St. Margaret hospital. Preceding him in death were; his parents, Robert H. Hargrave and Thelma Hunter, sister, Camille Johnson and step-son Morris Lewis.
He leaves to cherish his memory; loving wife Juanita and devoted daughter, Anita and Anthony (son in-law), grandchildren, Baron, Robert and Matthew, special niece Belinda and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
