Mrs. Loretta Tribble

Loretta Irene Jones was born on December 10, 1942 in Chicago, IL to the union of Vernon and Theressa Jones. The oldest of four children, she completed her education at St. Agatha Elementary School under Fr. Daniel J. Mallette. She attended Carter H. Harrison Technical High School where she graduated in 1961. She then attended Robert Morris Secretarial School.

On May 21,1960 Loretta married David Tribble. From this union, she would have two daughters. She worked at Continental Bank and Chicago Federal of Settlement for many years before working at Northern Trust Company where she was honored for her 25 years of dedicated service.

Loretta accepted Christ and was baptized at St. Dominic Church. She became a member of Our Lady Gate of Heaven Church in 1970. There she would serve as a lector, a member of various committees including the Women’s Club and Parish Council, and creator of the Hospitality Committee.

After a brief illness Loretta departed this life on September 5, 2017. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters Dawn (Ron) Wilson and Darcine Tribble, her grandchildren Danielle Gray, Dominique Tribble, and Dimitri Tribble, her great grandchildren Chasady Pettye and Micah Williamson. She also leaves her siblings; Cheryl (Michael) Adams, Gerilynne (Clarence) Walker, and Vernon (Dianne) Jones, Jr.,her aunt Evelyn Dixon, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Ms. Tribble will be solely missed. She had fire in her personality that drew people to her. We will miss her presence dearly.

Dear family,
Soon we will ask, Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting? (1 Cor 15 55) Why, because Jehovah himself has promised mankind that death will be no more. As well as the distresses associated with death will be no more. The former things have passed away. ( Rev 21:4)
May the God of all comfort continue to be with you during this trial.
