Thomas Stephenson, Jr. the eldest of two children born to Thomas Benbow and Irene Ronkainen Stephenson, Sr., who both proceeded him in death, was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Thomas graduated from Catholic schools in Cleveland, Ohio. Thomas and Edwina Manning were married September 28, 1952, for sixty-four and a half wonderful years. To this union, three sons were born: Thomas Edward III, Mark Andrew and Eric Jeffrey. Thomas was a member of Blooming Rose/R.D.B. Ministries under the leadership of Dr. Rosie D. Bond, 6730 South Halsted Street, Chicago, Illinois.

Thomas attended various trade schools. His first business was radiator repair with his son Thomas III. He also had a love for computers and technology, which he shared with his son Eric. But the business that he favored the most was locksmith. Thomas was an extremely conscientious student and possessed a passion for locks.

Thomas entered his profession as a locksmith and spent his entire career self-employed as a locksmith. Being a talented and dedicated locksmith, he always went the extra mile, and truly loved his job and the numerous people he encountered. Thomas was an avid locksmith and shared his passion with his son Mark.

Thomas was affectionately known as “Papa” to BJ, Joann and Trixie he always had a joke for everyone he encountered.

Thomas leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory his wife, Edwina and four sons: Thomas Edward III, Mark Andrew, Eric Jeffrey and Steven (Ada); a brother Clarence, nephew David; grandchildren Thomas IV, Troy, Todd, Lauri, Willie, Jamel, Terrica and Terri; three godchildren, Pamela Baines Albert, Denise Courseault and Natasha Brown; daughters-in-law, Linda Stephenson and Helen Stephenson; Jewel friends, Karon Edgeworth and Evelyn Yarn. He also leaves a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Thomas’ favorite bible scripture was… Psalms 91

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

My Condolences to your friends and family. 1 Corinthians 15:26 says The last enemy death is to be brought to nothing. Soon no one will have to experience death.

May I offer you my heartfelt condolences during this trial. May you find comfort in Jehovah's promise to mankind that our enemy death is to be brought to nothing,as well as the distresses associated with death will be no more. They will be a thing of the past.
