Mrs. Chestanna Reed

Born Into Time: July 17, 1916
Born Into Eternity: August 26, 2017

Chestanna Childs Reed was the first child born July 17, 1916 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the union of Frank and Alma Childs (both of whom preceded her in death). She also was preceded in death by three siblings: Alma Holt, Cephous Childs and Josephine Griffin.

Chestanna accepted Christ in to her life at an early age.

Chestanna was united in holy matrimony on March 26, 1949 to the late Jordan Reed.

Chestanna was employed and retired working 30 plus years from Spiegel as a clerical clerk and union steward. Chestanna loved to fish. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas with her sisters annually for many years.

Chestanna was the matriarch of her family; she had no children of her own, but Chestanna was a “Mother” to many. Chestanna loved spending time with family and friends.

Chestanna leaves to cherish her memory, her sisters Frances Ervin, Ophelia Hagood and Margaret Martin; sister-in-law, Gladys Childs, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends

My Condolences to your friends and family. 1 Corinthians 15:26 says The last enemy death is to be brought to nothing. Soon no one will have to experience death.

Dear family,
Take comfort ' He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it.'
As for the distresses associated with death, they too, will be a thing of the past.
Is 25:8, Rev 21:4
